[Fellow]Battery Age Minerals reports early success from maiden drilling at Falcon Lake Lithium Project, Canada

Battery Age Minerals has identified multiple spodumene-bearing pegmatites from an ongoing maiden drilling program at its Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.

The company says this discovery represents a ‘strong’ start to the maiden drill program, with 10 of the 13 initial holes completed at Falcon Lake intersecting mineralised pegmatites of varying visual spodumene content ranging from 5-25%.

Battery Age Minerals reports hole 23FL-001 intersected 27.6m of mineralised pegmatite downhole from 16.7m, while holes 23FL-005 and 004 returned additional ‘thick’ intercepts of 26m from 45m and 21.9m of mineralised pegmatite from 5m, respectively.

The company says it believes this early success highlights the ‘significant’ potential of the Falcon Lake Project to host ‘thick’ spodumene-bearing pegmatites.

The company also notes this data has enabled its exploration team to improve its knowledge of the structural orientations of the pegmatites, as well as enhance drillhole design for the balance of the program.

Drilling is ongoing and has only targeted a small section of the property to date. The company also notes that drilling will continue to focus on this area in the near term before moving to the other 18 spodumene-bearing pegmatite outcrops already identified across the property.

With drilling ongoing, Battery Age Minerals announces samples from a number of priority holes will be sent to AGAT Laboratories in Thunder Bay, with results expected to be delivered in 3-4 weeks with the balance to follow.

Addressing the discovery, Battery Age Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gerard O’Donovan says: “We are extremely pleased with the initial results from our early holes at Falcon Lake. Our maiden drill program is off to a fantastic start, with very encouraging visual observations from the first group of drillholes.

Our experienced field team has logged a number of significant intervals of spodumene-bearing mineralisation from surface in 10 of the first 13 holes, validating our belief that Falcon Lake has the potential to host thick pegmatites and, subject to receipt of assays, significant lithium mineralisation.

OUR MAIDEN DRILL PROGRAM IS OFF TO A FANTASTIC START, WITH VERY ENCOURAGING VISUAL OBSERVATIONS FROM THE FIRST GROUP OF DRILLHOLES”

The drilling to date has also enabled our exploration team to improve their understanding of the structural orientation of the pegmatites which, in turn, will allow for more specific and targeted drill designs moving forward.”

Battery Age Minerals is an ASX-listed battery mineral-focused company working to rapidly advance its primary Falcon Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada, as well as grow its battery metal portfolio through the acquisition of other battery-related tenements worldwide.

The company’s Falcon Lake Lithium Project is nestled amongst other lithium explorers and developers such as Green Technology Metals and Rock Tech Lithium
