Japan’s exports of unwrought cobalt and powder increased to 166 mt in May, up 26.7% from 131 mt April and up 21.2% from 137 mt in May 2012. Exports through May increased 38.3% to 668 mt compared to 483 mt for the same 2012 period. Exports to the US surged to 361 mt compared to 174 mt. Exports to China were 181 mt vs. 163 mt the year before.
