[Ferro-Alloys.com] JSW steel FY26 output hits 30.14Mt (up 8%), despite slight Q4 dip in India and group volumes.

News: Company’s production volume in Indian operation stood at ~7.3 million tonne (MT) (down 1% YoY) in Q4FY26. While the total group combined volumes for the quarter stood at ~7.5 MT (down 2% YoY). Capacity utilization at Indian operations stood at 87% for the quarter. Moreover, the consolidated production volume for FY26 stands at 30.14 MT (growth of 8% YoY).

The production volume for the quarter was impacted by the ongoing shutdown at Blast Furnace 3 at the Vijayanagar plant due to plant upgradation. Excluding this, capacity utilisation at the Indian operations stood at ~92%. Moreover, the company has been able to meet its production volume guidance of ~30 MT for FY26. Going ahead, the new brownfield capacity expansions at the Salem (0.15 MT) and Vijayanagar plants (2 MT) will lead to higher volumes, while higher domestic steel prices are expected to drive better performance in FY27. However, the current valuation provides limited upside from current levels.
