Survey: Metals Business Leaders Anticipate Economic Growth Under Trump
02/27/2025 - Nearly 70% of senior leaders at metal firms believe the Trump Administration's economic policies will positively impact GDP growth in 2025 and 2026, according to a newly released survey.
		According to independent investment banker Headwall Partners’ latest annual survey of perspectives of corporate leaders of the North American steel and metals industry, executives are generally optimistic about business conditions under Trump, with 44% of respondents indicating that they believe none of the new economic policies of the Trump Administration will have a negative impact on multiyear growth.
		
		In addition, a majority — 83% — believe the USMCA will be renegotiated.
