JSW Steel plans to launch a new blast furnace at its Dolva steel plant in Maharashtra, India, by 2026, with a capacity of 4.5 million tons per year. This move aims to increase JSW Steel's production by 45%.

The company aims to raise its annual steel production from 27.7 million tons to 37 million tons by 2026. 0ther Indian steelmakers are also expanding capacities to meet growing demand, with the lndian government targeting a steel production capacity of 300 million tons by 2030 under the National Steel Policy 2017.

JSW Steel is investing in a new steel plant in Paradip, 0disha, with an annual capacity of 13.2 million tons, and is forming a joint venture with Japan's JFE Steel Corporation to set up a plant in Karnataka, investing 55 billion rupees (about 664 million USD).
