According to the monitoring of China Iron and Steel Industry Association, at the end of May, China's iron ore price index (CIOPI) was 495.83 points, a month on month decrease of 19.81 points, or 3.84%; The decline narrowed by 4.81 percentage points compared with the previous month.
 
From the sub index, the price index of domestic iron ore was 437.75 points, down 21.19 points month on month, or 4.62%; The price index of imported iron ore was 506.81 points, a month on month decrease of 19.54 points, or 3.71%.
 
From the perspective of the whole month, the average value of CIOPI composite index in May was 480.86 points, down 59.85 points or 11.07% from the average value of the previous month. Among them, the average value of domestic iron ore price index was 444.76 points, a decrease of 21.13 points or 4.54% compared with the average value of the previous month; The average price index of imported iron ore was 487.69 points, down 67.17 points or 12.11% from the average value of the previous month.
 
The price of domestic ore has changed from rising to falling, and the price of imported ore has continued to decline
 
At the end of May, the price of CIOPI domestic iron concentrate was 962.75 yuan / ton, a month on month decrease of 46.61 yuan / ton, a decrease of 4.62%, and a month on month decrease from an increase; The CIF price of imported fine ore from ciopi was USD 136.89/t, a month on month decrease of USD 5.28/t, or 3.71%.
 
From the monthly situation, the average tax inclusive price of domestic iron concentrate was 978.17 yuan / ton, a decrease of 46.47 yuan / ton or 4.54% compared with the previous month; The average CIF price of imported fine ore was USD 131.72/t, a decrease of USD 18.14/t or 12.11% over the previous month.
