PrintAccording to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in 2012 Ukraine's ferroalloy production decreased by 13.8% compared to 2011 to 1.026 million tonnes.
Accordingly, in 2012 Ukraine's silicomanganese output decreased by 13% to 734,100 tonnes its ferromanganese production went down by 12.9% to 157,300 tonnes its ferrosilicon output decreased by 20.9% to 119,400 tonnes while its metallic manganese production increased by 4.3% to 14,700 tonnes all compared to 2011.
Specifically, in 2012, the largest Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant's ferroalloy output decreased by 14.6% YoY to 657,800 tonnes including 554,800 tonnes of silicomanganese and 103,000 tonnes of ferromanganese.
Meanwhile, during 2012 Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant's ferroalloy output declined by 5.3% YoY to 198,900 tonnes including 129,900 tonnes of silicomanganese, 54,300 tonnes of ferromanganese and 14,700 tonnes of metallic manganese.
In addition, another major Ukrainian ferroalloy producer Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant saw its ferroalloy output fall in 2012 by 19% YoY to 168,800 tonnes including 119,400 tonnes of ferrosilicon and 49,400 tonnes of silicomanganese.
