China Market of Ferro silicon stable but seems to weak
The Chinese ferro-silicon spot price was assessed stable at 5,700 yuan ($830)/exw  per tonne over the week, abit drop from 5800yuan/mt exw last week,  abit changed from the week before. The domestic trend influenced Chinese export business, which traded at $1,200-1,230 per tonne fob China, unchanged from the week before.

Some Chinese Steel mills have increased their April tender price  to about 6,000-6,100 yuan per tonne, including delivery and payment through an acceptance draft after tracking an earlier increase in spot price levels. but that price still lower than fesi producers expection, for Land transportation charge from Fesi plant to steel Mills is about 350-400yuan/mt,  and long term payment method cost bank interest about 200yuan/mt. after deduction of these cost, the net price is about 5400-5500yuan/mt exw, but this is for fesi grade 72-76%. not Fesi 75% min.

"Fesi Smelters are now at low operating rates,no more producers started to produce, so at this price level, Fesi producers have profit, but the price already weak, due to sharp increased about 1000yuan/mt in early April. One big trader in Beijing said, "I think prices are likely to drop  through April, with the market watching production levels as some smelters have plans to restart idled production".
