US ferrosilicon prices are coming under pressure as sellers aggressively chase available business following a period of little activity.
Ferrosilicon prices have softened to between 91 and 93 cents per pound from 93 to 95 cents previously, with one domestic mill able to fill its requirements for the second half of the year at the lower number. A steelmaker was able to book multiple truckloads at the same number in the past week.
