[www.ferro-alloys.com] 2016 global stainless steel output will increase by 2% to 42.30 million tons, a historical high, MEPS predicted. Previously, it forecasted 2015 global SS output below 41.50 million tons.
MEPS forcasted that China and Japan’s SS output in 2016 would increase 1.7% and 5% year over year, perspectively. Although SS output in South Korea surged by 9%, but it’s unlikely occurs in 2016. And in Amnerica, SS output in 2016 would slightly rebound to 2.40 million tons when EU SS output stemming back to 7.25 million tons.
