[Ferro-alloys.com]The 4th Ferro Silicon Industrial Summit & 3rd FACOM Members Meeting arranged by Ferro-alloys.com (FACOM) was successfully held in Beijing on Jan 9-10, 2015. President Li Xinchang of China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institution made a splendid speech on China’s steel industry situation and future trend.

President Li pointed out after quantity, steel industry would deal with the problem of structure, including product structure, capacity structure, layout structure, organization structure and technical structure.

President Li said there was still huge space in market development and application for steel industry. It was particularly noteworthy that the proportion of steel material in construction industry could be elevated by large. Steel material was excellent building material. The proportion of steel material in China construction industry was far below that of developed countries. As China elevated building standards, this proportion would increase by large and much more steel material would be needed.
