[Ferro-alloys.com] In the first nine months of 2014, Ordos enterprises above designated size totally consumed 24.256 million tons of standard coal, up 4% from the same period of 2013. Among the six major industries, energy consumption of nonmetal mineral products declined by 19.3%, that of coal mining and dressing & petroleum processing declined by 4.7% and that of coking reduced by 3.1%. However, the three backbone industries of electricity, heat production &supply, chemical raw materials & chemical product manufacturing and ferrous metal smelting & pressing all increased energy consumption, with respective growth rate of 10.6%, 7.7% and 1.9%.
