(Reuters) - South African state-run power utility Eskom [ESCJ.UL] said it expected the system to be "extremely tight" on Monday night but it was seen stabilising the rest of the week as demand drops off because of a public holiday on Wednesday for elections.
Eskom is battling to keep the lights on in Africa's most advanced economy as it races to build new power plants to keep pace with growing demand.
