American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that the U.S. imported a total of 3,079,000 net tons (NT) of steel in January 2022.

For the month of January 2022, U.S. steel mills shipped 7,757,672 net tons, a 1.4 percent decrease from the 7,871,639 net tons shipped in the previous month, December 2021.

American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) reported that steel import permit applications for the month of February totaled 2,274,000 net tons (NT)*.
