China will officially drop the 8% duty on Australian alumina imports, which has not been applied in recent years in any case, under the landmark Free Trade Agreement between the two countries announced Monday.

Tariffs of 3 per cent on anthracite and coking coal(HS code 27011100), 5 per cent on briquettes (HS code 27011900 and 27012000) and 6 per cent on other coals (HS code 27011210 and 27011290) were announced by the finance ministry on Oct 8th

China will start levying tariffs on some imported steel products, which are re-exported after processing, from July 31 as part of efforts to tackle overcapacity in the country's bloated steel industry, the finance ministry said on Jul 11th.

It is reported that the US Department of Commerce has imposed import duties on imports of steel threaded rod from India.
