Up to November 2nd 2012, iron ore inventory at 36 Chinese ports totaled around 93.30 million tons, down 1.45 million tons from October 26th. Of the total stockpiles, around 6.10 million tons iron ore was India sourced, down 600,000 tons from one week earlier.
Calculated based on current steel production level in China, iron ore inventories at Chinese ports can meet the demand for 29 days production.
