It is reported that Hunan Province carried out orderly power consumption from July 15 to July 17, affecting a total of 12 high carbon ferrochrome factories, involving 16 submerged arc furnaces, which was expected to affect Hunan's high carbon ferrochrome production of more than 1900 tons in three days. 
 
The power shortage of Guangxi Southern Power Grid yesterday led to temporary power rationing in Baise. The power rationing time started from the evening of the 14th, and the recovery time is not sure yet. Currently, there are 7 high carbon ferrochrome factories and 16 submerged arc furnaces in Baise and all the factories except one have been shut down. Due to the uncertain resumption time, the impact on output is not clear. 
 
The high-carbon ferrochrome market has been running smoothly for the time being. In the short term, the impact of "power shortage" is still an important factor that plagues the production of high chromium, which may make the confidence of the industry as well as the price increase.
 
At the same time, the price of raw chrome ore is high, ans then the production cost is high, and the spot are tight. In the short term, it is expected that the output would be difficult to grow, and the price of high carbon ferrochrome may rise again.
 
Recently, the price of high carbon ferrochrome has been running steadily and firmly, and the current mainstream quotation is around 8500-8600 yuan per ton; Some of the ex factory prices have risen to around 9000 yuan per ton.
