[Ferro-Alloys.com]Since January purchase of steelmakers on silicon manganese already closed to an end, there were no signs of good news on silicon manganese market. It is said that mainstream ex-work price of 6517 in Ningxia dropped to RMB5,660-5,700/mt. Meanwhile, the biggest two silicon manganese in local area maintained normal operation. Sheng Yan Industrial Group still carries out contract order price to steel mills with RMB6,100/mt, and give RMB50-60/mt profits for regular clients or cash settlement.  Ningxia Jiyuan Metallurgical Group Co.,ltd still enjoys power subsidy in local area with six 30000furnaces to run. As biggest silicon manganese producer in Ningxia, the company already established directly long-term cooperation with oversea manganese ore giants.

Overall, given slowing economic growth in China, it seems that silicon manganese producers still lack of enough confidence on future market.
