[Ferro-Alloys.com]The market remains at the downtrend for both the stainless steel industry and alloys industry. The recent dramatic fall brought the price back to March 2014. The 5th MnCrNi & SSteel International Conference was held in Taiyuan on Oct. 17. Famous experts, analysts and entrepreneurs from the stainless steel industry and alloys industry attended the conference and presented their analysis and previews to all the attendees. Wen Quan, GM of nieba, gave his presentation about the relation between NPI and China’s stainless steel industry.

“China’s stainless steel industry could not thrive without NPI, and both the capacity and output of China’s stainless steel industry would increase in 2014, capacity up 4.5 million tons and output up 1.4 million tons,” he said. “The prosperity of China’s stainless steel benefits from the large scale use of NIP, which has lowered the cost compared to other nickel resources. China put the NPI into the production of stainless steel about 10 years ago, and the output and producers of NPI decreased in 2014,” he added.
