Fastmarkets’ weekly calculation of its chrome ore South Africa UG2/MG concentrates index, cif China was $283 per tonne on Tuesday, up from $281 per tonne on January 9. The index had held at $281 since December 19, 2023.

Research firm BMI has revised downward its nickel price forecast for this year to $20 000/t from $20 600/t as the market remains in a supply glut.

Shareholders of the Company are advised that the European benchmark ferrochrome price for the first quarter of 2024 has been settled at 144 US cents per pound, a decrease of 5.9% from the fourth quarter of 2023.
