[Ferro-alloys.com] At the 11th China Ferro-alloys International Conference,President of Tianjin Ferroalloy Exchange, Mr Qi Biao shared his insightful opinion on the harsh situation Chinese ferrosilicon producers faced. Mr Qi said China was number one either capacity or output of ferrosilicon in the world, with three fourths belonging to China. Production cost has declined, environmental production level and energy utilization rate have improved.

            
Even so, the large base of capacity and high export tariff made it extremely difficult for Chinese ferrosilicon exports, with ferrosilicon smuggling worsening the export market.Chinese ferrosilicon producers should optimize their internal managements so as to reduce the impact of depressed price.
