[Ferro-Alloys.com]Turkey produced 2.87 million tons of crude steel in October, falling by 6.9% year on year and decreasing by 5.9% from a month ago, due to 6 holidays in the month, according to data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers’ Association (DCUD).
In the first ten months of this year, Turkey’s crude steel output exceeded 30 million tons, rising by 6.7% year on year.
Among them, the crude steel output from electric arc furnace (EAF) totaled 22.4 million tons, up by 7.6% and that from blast furnaces (BF) was at 7.6 million tons, increasing by 4.2% , both compared to that in the same period of 2011.
