[Ferro-Alloys.Com]Japan's largest electric steelmaker Tokyo Steel Mfg Co reduced what the company pays for locally available ferrous scrap by a uniform JPY 500 per tonne from October 13th 2012 for all grades of intakes at all its facilities.

Okayama works; JPY 23,500 per tonne for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Kyushu works; JPY 23,000 per tonne for overland arrivals at the Utsunomiya works and JPY 22,000 per tonne for seaborne and overland arrivals at the Takamatsu steel center.
