[Ferro-alloys.com]An official of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) pointed out recently there were not enough big cities in China.

On Davos Forum, the official said in terms of accommodating population, big cities would be very important in future urbanization. Big cities absorbed more high-quality resource, and they had the responsibility to take more people. When big cities contained much high-quality resource, there would certainly be repulsion which stopped more people from sharing the resource. This problem was related to economic structure adjustment.

He pointed out there were not enough big cities in China currently and more people should enter big cities or megacities in the future.
