[Ferro-Alloys.com] 2013 is a tough year to almost every one. However, we believe only the hardship may test our capability, our resistance and our strength and only having gone through the great storms can we go farther in the future.

The Chinese economy is weak according to the forecast of some institutions. Under this condition, ferroalloy industry is certainly unable to escape from the hardship. Although the industry bottomed up in the end of 2012 after the downturn in almost the whole year, it went down again in 2H of February 2013. Market players were very pessimistic on the industry as price of ferroalloy products dropped and industry profit shrank. As enterprises handlers, they should open their minds and insure the smooth information channels in order to search more opportunities.

Under the condition, the 10th China Ferro-Alloys International Conference held on May 29-31, 2013 in Shanghai Longemont Hotel. Hosted by CCCMC and FERRO-ALLOYS.COM, the conference was also sponsored by OM materials (Qinzhou) Co., Ltd, Shanghai Jinneng International Trade Co., ltd and Shijiazhuang Sanhuan Manganese & Silicon and so on. Finally, Mr. Liu Zhengzhi, GM of www.ferro-alloys.com again showed the great thanks to the delegates, the honored speakers and the sponsors and then made the conclusion on the conference as the followings:

Firstly, there were no optimistic indication for the Chinese Macro-economy for the moment, however, the steel and ferroalloy industry will keep stable growth in the future.

Secondly, the export tariff of the Chinese ferroalloy products won’t be removed or reduced in the near future under the in opinion of the officers.

Thirdly, the RMB appreciation is speeding up, leading to more risks and more difficulties for traders.

Fourthly, the competition of ferroalloy export will be more extreme and the ferroalloy smuggles will feaze the market all the same, leading to the continuous drop of legal ferroalloy export.

Lastly, profit of steel and ferroalloy industry keeps narrow, and the market may be bottomed up slightly in 2H of 2013. Demands of the Chrome, Nickel and Manganese alloys will be probably driven up especially due to the development of Stainless steel.

Mr. Liu Zhengzhi also showed his expectation on the industry. He called on the enterprises to safeguard the market order together,  avoid from the falsification and reject smuggles in order to make the ferroalloy industry develop smoothly.
