  Shanxi Provincial Department of industry and information technology organized and held a symposium on iron and steel enterprises in Shanxi Province. At the meeting, 23 iron and steel enterprises, including Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group, Shanxi Jianlong iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Jinnan iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and Shougang Changgang iron and Steel Co., Ltd., made key speeches from the aspects of economic operation, innovation and development, iron ore resource guarantee, ultra-low emission, intelligent manufacturing and the development ideas of the 14th five-year plan.

  Faced with the international and domestic situation, iron and steel enterprises should focus on several tasks in 2021: firstly, based on the current situation, tap the potential to increase efficiency, plan ahead of time, enhance the support capacity of iron ore. Secondly, we should put innovation in a prominent position, build a platform, cultivate talents, tackle key technology and cooperate with downstream enterprises in innovation. Thirdly, we should promote the high-end of industrial products. We should improve the procedures and speed up the construction of capacity replacement projects as soon as possible. The product structure should be improved from traditional products to advanced steel materials, and transferred to industrial, civil and terminal fields, striding forward to high added value. Fourthly, in order to realize green development, we should strengthen energy conservation and emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of resources through ultra-low emission transformation and off-peak production. Iron and steel enterprises should abide by environmental protection requirements. Fifthly, it is necessary to improve the management level of enterprises according to the requirements of standards and specifications, especially the safety management standards, stick to the safety bottom line, and implement the safety responsibility. Iron and steel enterprises should continue to promote high-end, intelligent, green, clustered and standardized transformation together with the industry and information technology department and accelerate the construction of a new pattern of iron and steel development in our province during the "14th five-year plan".
