  According to the latest data released by Australia's port of Pilbara (PPA), the largest iron ore export port in Australia and the world, Port Hedland, delivered 215 ships in December 2020, with an export volume of 46.5 million tons, an increase of 15% and 12% respectively, more than that in November.

  Among them, the export volume to China was 39.96 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 16%; the export volume to Japan was 2.338 million tons, a month-on-month increase of 100%; the export volume to South Korea was 2.783 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 45%.

  In 2020, a total of 2918 ships of iron ore will be delivered from Port Hedland, with an export volume of 540.7 million tons, 5.5% and 4.9% higher than 2765 ships and 515.7 million tons in 2019, respectively, with an increase of 25.03 million tons. Among them, the iron ore exported to China was 468 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, with an increase of 31.22 million tons; the iron ore exported to Japan was 18.46 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20%, with a decrease of 4.59 million tons; the iron ore exported to South Korea was 41.726 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3%, with a decrease of 1.2 million tons.

  In 2020, the proportion of iron ore exported from Port Hedland to China will be 86.5%, 1.8 % higher than 84.7% in 2019.
