The latest Ferrosilicon Standard GB / T 2272-2020 will be implemented on September 1, 2020, when all the standards of GB / T 2272-2009 will be replaced, according to Announcement No. 14 issued by Standardization Administration.

 

The national standard "Ferrosilicon" is put under TC318 (National Technical Committee for Pig Iron and Ferroalloy Standardization) to report and carry out, and supervised by China Iron and Steel Industry Association.

According to "Ferrosilicon" GB / T 2272-2020, the classification of ferrosilicon is adjusted to high-silicon ferrosilicon, ordinary ferrosilicon, low-aluminum ferrosilicon and high-purity ferrosilicon. The grade of ferrosilicon is further refined. The new standard is closer to the market, improves the product quality to meet the requirements of downstream users.
