[Fellow]Roles of Secondary Refining of Cored Wire

The effective method of secondary refining is metal processing in casting ladle with cored wire, which adds agent, deoxidizing agent and alloy elements by using clamp to reduce costs of energy and materials, to improve absorption of alloy elements in smelting, to reduce its dispersion and to remove sulphur in molten metal and non-metal inclusions.

Improve quality of metal products. It can also improve liquidity and casting property of molten steel on the continuous casting device and in the steel die, reduce spraying in air and reduce equipment cost and production consumption. Steel skin of cored wire can prevent active agent from roles of air and moisture in the processes of preservation and transportation to avoid oxygenation when it is passing through the slag layer and guarantee the required rigidity to insert into the given depth of the melt.

When changing quantitative relation between the rate and diameter of the cored wire, skin thickness and packing elements, duration of exposure between agent and molten steel and speed of their mutual reaction can be adjusted.
