According to reports of media, 160 major private steel enterprises calculated by the Metallurgical Chamber of Commerce achieved sales revenue of 1,078.2 billion yuan in the first half of the year, up 20 percent year-on-year, and achieved profits of 99.6 billion yuan, up 135 percent year-on-year.

The top three for profit were 12.4 billion yuan for Shagang Group, 5.99 billion yuan for Fangda Steel Group and 5,167 million yuan for Jianlong Group.
