18 Oct 2014 The Philippines nickel mining company Nickel Asia Corporation reported an 165% YoY increase in its ore output for the first nine months of 2014.

In the first nine month, nickel ore output came to 14.26 million wet metric tonnes.

The company said that the value of its nickel ore shipment soared to PHP 20.6 billion, compared from PHP 7.8 billion in the same period a year ago.

Nickel Asia is the largest producer of lateritic nickel ore in the Philippines and operates a number of mines in the country.
