World nickel set for 140000 tonne surplus this year - INSG

According to the International Nickel Study Group forecast, Nickel producers face a global surplus of 140,000 tonnes in 2013 due to disappointing demand and new production projects.

The Lisbon based group said that although slower economic growth in China had not yet hit the domestic nickel market and Indian usage remained high, demand was slack from other countries.
