US importes of high-carbon ferrochrome remain fairly flat

The US imported 36,005.5 mt of high-carbon ferrochrome in February and 65,844.2 mt in the first two months of 2013 vs. 36,896.9 mt and 91,951.5 mt, respectively, in the same 2012 periods. The major importers in February (first two months of 2013 parentheses) were: South Africa, 14,373.5 mt (39,135.4 mt); Kazakhstan, 17,392.9 mt (19,792.9 mt) and Russia, 3,656.4 mt (4,254.2 mt).
