[Fellow]Japan's scrap exports fell by 13.7% in the first half of the year

【Ferro-alloys.com】According to customs statistics, in June this year, Japan’s scrap iron exports amounted to 748,609 tons, a decrease of 15.1% from 882,159 tons in the same month of the previous year. From January to June this year, my country exported 4.2 million tons of scrap steel, a year-on-year decrease of 13.7%.

From January to June, Vietnam was the largest importer of Japanese scrap, with an import volume of 1.45 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.0%. Vietnam is followed closely by South Korea and Taiwan, which imported 1.44 million tons and 386,390 tons of scrap, respectively, down 11.1% and 44.7% year-on-year.

At the same time, during the same period this year, Japan's scrap exports to Bangladesh fell from 394,851 tons in the same period last year to 275,083 tons.
