[Fellow]Kyrgyzstan's Jerui gold mine development will implement strict environmental supervision policies

Ferro-alloys.com:Recently, the first deputy prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, Novi Kraft, attended the non-governmental forum on the development of Jeruy (Джеруй) gold mine and proposed that the development of Jeruy gold mine will implement a strict environmental supervision policy. Currently, a national committee composed of relevant ministries and commissions, local residents and independent investigative agencies is under preparation to study environmental issues in the development of Jerui Gold Mine.

Novi Kraft also emphasized that the development of the Jerui Gold Mine is of great significance to the state and local finances, and called on local residents to actively support enterprise production. Although the factory has not started production at present, it has paid 900 million soms (approximately US$10.64 million), and the annual tax payment will rise to 4 billion soms (approximately US$47.31 million) after it is put into operation.

In addition, Novi Kraft also revealed that President Kyrgyzstan has signed a mining reform decree. According to the decree, the government needs to formulate the "Mining Code" before July 1 this year, and it is proposed to stipulate that national-level mines will be 100% controlled by state-owned mining companies, with the exception of mines already held and mines under development. All new precious metal mining project countries will participate in equity.

Jeruy Gold Mine is an asset of "Alyans-Alton" company («АльянcАлтын») controlled by "Russian Platinum".
