[Fellow]American Manganese Corporation achieved a high extraction rate in the leaching test of the Wendeng inventory project

Ferro-alloys.com:U.S. Manganese Corporation stated that the manganese extraction rate was as high as 88% when testing samples from its Wendeng inventory project in Arizona, USA.

As mentioned earlier, the project is funded by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Its purpose is to determine whether it is possible to use American Manganese's breakthrough recycling process to produce electrolytic manganese metal (EMM).

"I am very pleased to see our Wendeng inventory project progress on our proposed timeline and demonstrate the versatility of our manganese patent process," Larry Roy, CEO of American Manganese Corporation, in a statement Say.

"Our manganese patent is the cornerstone of the patent development of our lithium-ion battery cathode material recovery process. We are now very lucky to have the opportunity to advance these two great projects."

The collected 14 samples (550 pounds) were mixed into a master composite and crushed into various sizes for leaching tests to establish the optimal process conditions for various sizes and consider how to expand potential processing plants.

The next step is to use the determined optimal leaching conditions to conduct leaching tests on each of the 14 representative single samples before advancing the tailings identification, manganese carbonate precipitation and electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) testing, with the focus on reducing The consumption of leaching reagents, Amy said.

The company also highlighted a letter issued by Congressman Paul Gosala, which puts Wendeng’s inventory work in a larger strategic context, stating that Wendeng’s advanced manganese material processing facilities could end the current 100% manganese in the United States. Import dependence reduces dependence on China’s advanced manganese supply chain.

In addition to the Wendeng Manganese Inventory Project funded by the US Defense Logistics Agency, Amy has also participated in the recycling of electric vehicle (EV) battery materials by the US Department of Energy's Institute of Critical Materials.

According to a grant granted by the US Defense Logistics Agency in October last year, the proposed timetable for US Manganese Corporation to complete laboratory testing activities is expected to take 47 weeks.
