[ferro-alloys.com]Last Friday, Shanghai future nickel market was in downturn. Due to fall of stock index, LME nickel price kept on dropping. By the end of trading, LME nickel was quoted at 13115 USD/T. It dropped down by 285 USD/T. The future nickel price fell down largely in domestic market today, and the trading volume increased a lot. Compared with Shanghai future nickel 2008 contract, the discount of Russian nickel was 500-600 RMB/T, and the premium of Jinchuan nickel was 400-500 RMB/T. Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 105000 RMB/T. It was 1700 RMB/T lower than the price on last trading day.

The stainless-steel market was stable today, so was the ferronickel price. Today, the mainstream price of high-grade ferronickel was 960-965 RMB/Nickel, and the price of low-grade ferronickel was 3300-3450 RMB/T.
