Before Christmas holiday, U.S government was in shutdown condition due to annual budget. Both Congress and Government were not eager to compromise. Sumitomo Metal predicted that the deficit of nickel would decrease in the next year. So, the nickel market was in downturn in general. LME nickel price kept on falling. LME nickel was quoted at 10955 USD/T. Its inventory was 209148 tons.Near the end of the year, some plants halted their productions for overhaul, the demand for nickel was insufficient, the trading volume was very few. So, electrolytic nickel went down largely in general this week. In the morning, Jinchuan quoted its electrolytic nickel at 89500 RMB/T.The barrelled small piece electrolytic nickel was quoted at 90700 RMB/T. They were both 1000 RMB/T lower than the prices yesterday. The price of Jinchuan nickel was 90400-90600 RMB/T, and Russian nickel was quoted at 88200-88350 RMB/T.
