Brazil’s Usiminas Ends a Month-long Strike

[The ferro-alloys.com] It is reported that Brazil’s Usiminas steel manufacturer company ended a 26-day strike. Because of the factory's workers reached an agreement with the company, get 10% of salary increase. 

Early this year, Usiminas has to idle two blast furnaces. The company also reduced the monthly production totaled 120,000 tons of pig iron. However, the company is able to adjust production according to market needs, reducing the costs and improving the Usiminas company’s competition in the current market conditions.
