[Ferro-Alloys.com]Tokyo — Japanese special steel producer Daido Steel Tuesday raised its stainless bar and section prices for July contracts (September delivery) by 10%.

Japan expected more products to be removed from US' Section 232 tariffson steel and aluminum imports, but welcomed the initial announcement ofexemptions from the US Department of Commerce on June 20, which included someproducts from Japan.

Private steel maker JSPL today reported a 36 percent rise in the domestic crude steel production to 1.23 million tonnes (MT) for the quarter ended June 30. The company had clocked production of 0.90 million tonnes in the year-ago period.
