According to statistic of Japan Customs, Japan imported 20314 tons of silicon metal in November, up by 29.8% Y-O-Y.

According to statistic of Korea Customs, S.Korea imported 12,700 tons of silicon metal in November 2014, down by 22% M-O-M and down by 15.3% Y-O-Y.

In October, Brazil exported 10468.75 tons of silicon metal (Si<99.99%), falling down by 31.9% M-O-M and down by 31.7% Y-O-Y. In Jan-Oct, 2014, Brazil totally exported 112972.75 tons of silicon metal, down by 4.9% Y-O-Y.

According to the statistics of US International Trade Commission, America imported 16940 mt of silicon metal in October 2014, down by 1.17% M-O-M.

In the US, Si553# price was 145-147 cents/lb. European Si 553# price were EUR 2270-2350/mt, up by EUR 40-50/mt.

According to statistic of Japan Customs, Japan imported 21770 tons of silicon metal in October, up by 18.4% Y-O-Y. The materials were mainly imported from China with import volume at 21533 tons.

Si metal price tended downward in November in China. Low-water seasons electricity price was carried out in the south of China. Some factories shut up to avoid high cost. Operating rate in Yunnan, Xinjiang, Fujian and Gansu was more than 80%.
